Physical Description

Standing just under five feet in height and with a skinny build, Kellie has been described by her siblings as the "runt of the litter". Kellie is the non-identical twin of Shelby Dusette and shares many similar features, along with elder sister Dani Dusette. Kellie often wears dark, heavy makeup and has brown eyes, sometimes wearing blue contacts. She has glossy black hair similar to her sisters, often worn in a ponytail and sometimes cut to a shorter style. She has a light complexion with light freckles and a cybernetic right arm. Kellie carries herself with a bubbly attitude and warm nature, though was born with a speech defect and has a very thick Achuran accent, the combination of which often confuses most translation software, making conversing with her very difficult. Kellie's unusual method of speech is said to result from a defect in her brain's language centre, causing her to have difficulting in selecting and ordering appropriate words to express her thoughts. Like all her sisters, Kellie enjoys wearing some of the latest New Eden fashions and is most often encountered in form-fitting jumpsuits. 

 

     

  

    

Early Life

Kellie Dusette was born in YC 99 into a wealthy Achuran business family governed by strict matriarchal traditions. Born the twin of Shelby Dusette, Kellie lived a sedate childhood in comparison. Mild mannered and introspective, she showed an interest in the spiritual arts from a very early age. Reserved and often teased by both family and strangers due to her unusual vocal quirks, Kellie would spend much of her time reading and meditating. She excelled under private tutoring, highly intelligent and intuitive, the tiny Achuran possessed a calm aura of confidence and courage beyond those of her siblings. Growing as a potential family prodigy, Kellie's future was altered suddenly at the age of fourteen when she was injured in station during a docking accident, costing her the use of her right arm. Traditionally cybernetics were heavily frowned upon by those in Kellie's family line thus her Matron-mother determined the young girl would not be suitable for the family's baseliner merchant trade.  Subsequently, with the aid of alleged falsified qualifications to bypass both her age and physical defects, Kellie was converted to capsuleer in YC 116 via an illegal, unlicensed service before joining her siblings in Anoikis.

 

Capsuleer Career

Kellie's role was initially uncertain when she first ventured into Anoikis to join her family's corporation Nighthawk Exploration. With few space-oriented skills she had trouble fitting in and finding a role that was valuable to the corporation, though her sister Erica saw great promise. Intelligent, level-headed and wise beyond her young years, a role soon presented itself when her elder sisters departed the family corp to fly for larger organizations. Kellie was left in charge of the family business as interim CEO, overseeing Nighthawk Exploration's efforts within it's Class 2 wormhole home and surrounding systems. While overseeing the corporation Kellie would continue to study piloting, often finds herself at the helm of a Buzzard, carrying out mostly general scouting, scanning and corporate admin duties.

 

 

In YC 117 the family found itself under heavy financial pressure following Aurora's War and the emergence of Jazmin Dusette, Kellie's sibling having raided the family trust to have herself converted to capsuleer. Thus it was decided operations in the family's home system of Horizon would be closed down for an undetermined period. This left Kellie without an active piloting role and it wasn't long before she sought the company of her siblings, applying to join Isogen 5 where she could be by their sides while learning "elite pvps". To this day Kellie remains a combat pilot for Isogen 5, living in Aurora beside her sisters, though she sees little combat action in comparison to her elder siblings.

 

 

 

Social & Personal Life

Kellie's vocal disability and introverted nature have kept her from wide scale socializing. Occasionally though she can be found on comm channels or within the Galnet forums socializing, always attempting to be bubbly and happy, yet often finding herself ignored or ridiculed by fellow capsuleers due to her difficulty with speech. Combined with her vocal disability is a cybernetic right arm, another source of ridicule since the augmentation was fitted after a station accident. 

Despite her feather-weight size, Kellie is quite fit and healthy, dedicating regular time to physical exercise beside her siblings. Beyond this, Kellie also finds great solace in spiritual healing and relaxation techniques. Since her youth rumors have abound regarding Kellie's apparent ability to manipulate objects, project her presence through dreams and sense the emotions or thoughts of others. Though Kellie has never been confirmed to posses such abilities of the mind and these rumors are rarely spoken of outside the family. 

Kellie would previously spend most of her time within the family's system of Horizon, home to their corporation Nighthawk Exploration and the Anoikis Ronin Alliance where she oversaw all it's operations, regularly liaising with her elder sister, family Matron Erica Dusette, with whom she enjoys a close bond. Kellie adheres strongly to Dusette family traditions and, unlike her other siblings, has trouble ever overlooking them.  In recent times, since joining Isogen 5, Kellie's lifestyle has simplified, the young Achur finding herself generally living a quiet life within the system, occasionally joining her siblings on combat patrols or system defence duties.

Ship Choice

Kellie's piloting skills are reported to be generally limited along with her combat experience. Scanning, scouting and exploration are Kellie's preferred pursuits and pon the closure of her family's home system of Horizon, Kellie moved onto Isogen 5 where she has almost exclusively flown Astero class frigates while training for eventual support and combat roles.
